City of Liverpool FC are pleased to announce that Ethan Devine will be returning for the 2021-22 season.

The midfielder came through the youth ranks at Tranmere Rovers, and signed for the Purps from Marine in 2019.

Devine made 14 appearances in total last season, impressing particularly after coming into the starting XI for our FA Trophy victory at Atherton Collieries. Ethan put in an imperious display which belied his years and made the number six position his own for the remainder of the season.

Manager Michael Ellison said, “Ethan is a player who’s really impressed since I’ve been at the club”

“For a young lad he plays the game with a real maturity, but the stand-out thing is his attitude. When we first came in, he wasn’t getting the game time he wanted, but there was no sulking, he didn’t miss a training session and then took his opportunity away at Atherton Collieries.”

“Ethan has not looked back since and I’m delighted to have him on board.”
