City of Liverpool have completed the signing of young right back Oliver Broe from Wigan Athletic.

Ollie is a highly regarded attacking full back and has worked his way through the youth ranks at the Latics.

Broe was a part of the Wigan side which impressed in last season’s FA Youth Cup campaign, progressing to the quarter finals where they were narrowly beaten 2-1 by Manchester United at Old Trafford.

Ollie made his debut for the Purps last night, starting away at Kendal Town.

Purps manager Craig Robinson was delighted to confirm the signing of his new defender, explaining “I’m pleased to welcome Ollie into the squad.”

“He’s had a good 10 years at Liverpool as a kid before moving to Wigan were he is still training full time.”

“He’s an attacking fullback who loves to get up and down and has great quality on the ball when needed.”

“He’s young enthusiastic lad with great hunger to progress and be successful and I’m pleased to have him on board!”

Welcome to the club, Ollie.
